Aquarian Sadhana is an early morning practice given to us by Yogi Bhajan in 1992 to help us keep up in challenging times. We rise before the sun and come together in the ambrosial hours to pray, move, and chant. It is a beautiful practice that is open to everyone. You don't have to know anything to participate and join us. The basic structure of Aquarian Sadhana is:
Reciting of Japji, a Gurmukhi prayer with 40 pauris (or stanzas), each offering a specific benefit
Kundalini Yoga kriya, a sequence of exercises
Chanting Aquarian Mantras for 62 minutes
In total, the practice is two and a half hours. When we wake up before the sun, that is a victory. When we give the first part of our day to spirit, Yogi Bhajan said, the rest of the day is ours.
"Each student is honored and treasured. As a result, we all absorb and learn what we're ready for, and come to practice and learn again. It is always time well spent, no matter if my voice is wavering and my limbs are weak. -Joanne K, Montclair Click here for all of our testimonials.
