Online Program with Cate: 40 Days of Kirtan Kriya: July 5, 2024 (New Moon) - August 13, 2024
Experience Kirtan Kriya, an accessible meditation with proven benefits; discover the magic of a 40 day practice, and bond with an intimate community of supportive practitioners. No experience necessary. Space is limited to 12 participants.
In Kundalini Yoga, we have the strategy of a 40 day practice. When you commit to the consistency of a 40 Day practice, you show yourself that you matter and you witness magic unfolding. According to yogic wisdom, it takes 40 days to break free from bad habits and blocks, allowing the full benefits of the practice to emerge.
And Kirtan Kriya has BIG benefits. It's one of the few Kundalini practices that's been formally researched! So you don't have to take our word for it. There are multiple studies that show a regular practice of Kirtan Kriya improves memory (as in, people who had memory loss showed improvement on brain scans) and reduces stress (as in, people with in very stressful care-giving roles showed reduced cortisol levels). It was originally taught to break bad habits and provide a spiritual cleansing.
The practice itself takes 12 minutes. You'll need about a minimum of 15 minutes set aside each day to tune in, do Kirtan Kriya, and then seal the practice. Fifteen minutes a day for amazing, life changing benefits!
We will meet online on Zoom. When you register, you'll receive an email with the Zoom Link. Our first meeting -- DAY 1 -- will be Friday, July 5 at 9:30am. This will be the New Moon -- an auspicious time to begin a new venture. In our first meeting, we will get to know each other, and I will teach and demonstrate the practice for anyone who isn't familiar with it. Our next meeting will be DAY 5, Tuesday 7/9 at 7pm and then we will meet weekly on Tuesday nights, until -- HOORAY-- DAY 40!.

Day 5: Tuesday 7/9 at 7pm
Day 12: Tuesday 7/16 at 7pm
Day 19: Tuesday 7/23 at 7pm
Day 26: Tuesday 7/30 at 7pm
Day 33: Tuesday 8/6 at 7pm
Day 40: Tuesday 8/13 at 7pm
During our meetings, we will check in with each other, encourage one another, and practice together. I will answer any questions about the practice itself and offer tips for how to stay consistent. And the best part — we’ll share the benefits as we start to observe and feel the changes in our bodies, minds, and lives. Each meeting will be an hour or shorter.
In between our meeting dates, you will practice on your own at home, knowing that you've got a cheering squad of fellow practitioners behind you.
